Kolkata: The political temperature in Bengal is rising steadily these days ahead of the assembly elections. The BJP and Trinamool Congress are constantly trading accusations against each other. Chief Minister and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee is holding a series of public rallies in various parts of the state. On Monday, Mamata Banerjee attended a rally in Kanksa, after a rally in Suri. Addressing a rally in Siuri, Birbhum, on Monday, Mamata Banerjee called the BJP a “basket of false promises.” Mamata Banerjee said, “The people will give a chargesheet in this election for the false promises made by the BJP. During the last election, I promised to launch the ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’ scheme. We initially started it with a monthly amount of Rs. 500, because we never go back on our election promises. In Bihar, they distributed Rs. 8,000 just before the elections, but later withdrew it. I can even show you video proof of this.” Now they’re claiming that after winning the Bengal elections, they’ll give our mothers and sisters a monthly allowance of 3,000 rupees. But have they ever actually given even a thousand rupees to any of the mothers and sisters of Bengal?
Don’t take money from BJP even by mistake, otherwise ED-CBI will reach your house the next day
Mamata Banerjee further said at the election rally, “Don’t take a single penny from the BJP. Never make this mistake. It’s my duty to warn you all in advance. First, they’ll make you open a bank account and promise to deposit money in it. Then, you’ll discover they’ve deposited ‘black money’ (unaccounted money) in it. After that, they’ll send the ED and CBI to file a case against you. This is how they’ll harass you without reason.”
Mamata’s question to Modi, you promised jobs in Bengal, did you fill the vacant posts while staying in the Centre?
Mamata continued, “Will the BJP provide jobs in Bengal? Have they recruited any ‘gangmen’ for the railways? There are vacancies in the army too. Yet, they claim they will provide jobs! Remember—we (the Trinamool government) are the ones who will provide the jobs. Ask Mr. Modi: What happened to those employment opportunities? You’ve also been in power at the center for the last twelve years. Where did those 20 million jobs that were promised disappear? And whenever we try to fill the vacant positions, they file court cases—specifically to ensure the entire recruitment process is halted. Now they’re talking about jobs!” Mamata sharply criticized the central BJP government at an election rally, saying, “Stop playing these deceptive games with the people of Bengal. So, on election day—if I stand up for you as a warrior, will you join me in fighting for your rights against the center? Will you stand like my fellow warriors?”

Launching a scathing attack on BJP leaders, Mamata Banerjee said, “BJP leaders and ministers are like seasonal birds. When election season arrives, they come to Bengal, spin a web of lies, and make false promises. Once the elections are over, they return to their hometowns.” Mamata Banerjee further said, “This time, the public has made up its mind. They will use their precious votes to expose the false promises made by BJP leaders.” Mamata Banerjee, along with Trinamool supporters and workers, promised the common people to trust her. This time, the Mamata Banerjee government is returning to power in Bengal by winning 226 seats.
